Maolin National Scenic Area lies in the south of Taiwan, and is within Kaohsiung City and Liugui District, Bulao Hot Springs is one of Taiwan's famous hot spring areas, but during Typhoon Morakot part of the area was flooded and structures collapsed- at present,the reconstruction of important transportation means, such as the Liugui Bridge and Hsinfa Bridge, has been completed. Holding the Mountain Town, Flowers, Hot Springs Festival Activity Series will make people understand that the area is open for tourism, reconstruction is gradually being completed. Tourist business operators will have a new look and also to display the process of diligent reconstruction and hope- filled future of the area's residents. The Baolai and Bulao Districts have planned an integrated “Mountain Town, Flowers, Hot Springs Festival Activity Series” activity which includes hot springs, fine cuisine, and other tourism resources in co- operation with the Tourism Bureau's “Taiwan Hot Spring s and Fine Cuisine Carnival”. Using the healthy nature of local food, the modern demand for healthy food and drink, integrating the hot springs area's resources and carrying out promotional work, the host springs districts’ “1-room, 2- meals” operating mode is being promoted and providing guests with a unique hot springs healthy experience so as to increase the output value of the tourism industry and establish the brand image of the Taiwanese hot springs product, increase popular participation through holding the activities, and, also by holding events to attract visitors, creating business opportunities in the area, and allowing tourism business operators to achieve sustainable operation.
