Yesterday (March 2), at the Dawu Mountain Starry Sky Plaza of Pingtung Train Station, an inauguration ceremony for the 2019 Austronesian Wedding was held, marking the start of this annual romantic event.
In its 14th year, the Austronesian Wedding is jointly held by Maolin National Scenic Area Administration and the three township offices of Northern Pingtung. This year, Majia Township Office is the host, and the event will be held according to Paiwan wedding traditions. On March 15 and 16, “Night of Brides and Grooms” and the main wedding ceremony will be held.
