    Suai-A-Ka Cultural Space

Located at Baolai Village in Liugui District, Kaohsiung, and next to South Cross-Island Highway, Suai-A-Ka Cultural Space derived its name from the Taiwanese phrase for “beneath a mango tree”. This cultural space is the fruitful result of local residents’ hard work transforming an abandoned warehouse with traditional methods and natural materials, including pebbles, driftwood, rice grains, and straws. Suai-A-Ka is operated by the Baolai Cultural Society of Kaohsiung City.

The goal is to achieve peaceful coexistence with nature in living, ecology, and production, and promote rebuilding, benefits, talent development, and industry developments in the local community. Industries it fosters include pottery, plant-based dyes, and stone oven-baked bread.

Visitors are encouraged to spend 3 hours here and to schedule appointments for a variety of DIY workshops, including pottery, dyes, stone oven bread baking, and stone oven pizza baking. Come and experience co-prosperity with nature.
