Santimen is one of the mountainous townships in Pingtung County. Its residents are mainly Paiwan, but there are also some Rukai. Located at the junction of mountains and plains, Sandimen has many scenic spots. The hills and valleys are beautiful, and the Paiwan and Rukai people have rich cultural assets. It has become a popular tourist destination in recent years.

  • Colored Glaze Beads
    Colored Glaze Beads
    Colored glaze beads are also called “katakata” or “dragonfly beads” by Paiwan people, which means ‘accomplishment’ in their language. Colored Glaze Beads are made of glass by fire, and the Paiwan people regard glass beads as a symbol of nobility. Each glass bead has a different story and represents a special meaning. We can string the colorful glass beads into many item shapes, such as necklaces, bracelets, headdresses, etc.

    The mountain area of the Dewen Tribe is surrounded by clouds and mist, with plenty of sunshine, which is suitable for coffee growth.
