Wutai Township

Hometown in Mist and Haze
A township at the highest elevation in Pingtung County, Wutai has been the hometown of the eight branches of the Drekay people, including the Adiri, Kinulane, Vedai, Labuwan, Kabalelradhane, Karamumudisane, Kudrengere, and Kucapungane. Each inhabits a different location of the mountains. The verdant mountains nourish fresh air and rich ecosystems. Under the care of the Drekay people, the Wutain retains its purity and simplicity, becoming the backyard garden of southern Taiwan. If you find it interesting, why not try an eco-tour, a cultural trip or a gourmet excursion in Wutai?
