2017-01-02

Aspiring to learn from scholars and experts from around the world, Maolin National Scenic Area Administration commissioned College of Tourism and Hospitality, I-shou University to hold the 2017 International Forum on Ecological Study of Crow Butterfly and Sustainable Tourism Development on January 5 & 6, 2017 at the university’s international conference hall.

The topics under discussions include the Purple Crow Butterfly’s ecology, indigenous culture, sustainable tourism and international tourism development strategies. Experts and scholars from Japan, South Korea and Singapore, as well as Taiwan, gathered together to discuss feasible sustainable tourism development plans for the Administration.

Purple Crow Butterflies’ gathering up in Maolin in wintertime has made Maolin a much prided natural site. With visitors swarming in, it is clear that Maolin has the resources to develop itself as an international tourist destination. Today, Maolin’s butterfly season is much highlighted on Taiwan’s tourism calendar.

The Administration cordially invites all to visit the scenic area, take part in the forum, and provide precious advice on Maolin’s sustainable tourism development.
