During the flood control period, torrential rain and extremely heavy rain in the afternoons often cause trees in the park to fall onto power cables leading to interruptions in the power supply and power outages, which result in the suspension of services at the tourist service center and surrounding tourist facilities and impacts the quality of service provided by Xinwei Tourist Center and Xinwei Forest Park. In order to ensure the stability of the power supply and thereby enhance the operations of the park, from May 3 to June 30, 2022, Taiwan Power Company will conduct work to place the power lines underground during which time the park will be closed.
