    Suai-A-Ka Cultural Space

Located at Baolai Village in Liugui District, Kaohsiung, and next to South Cross-Island Highway, Suai-A-Ka Cultural Space derived its name from the Taiwanese phrase for “beneath a mango tree”. This cultural space is the fruitful result of local residents’ hard work transforming an abandoned warehouse with traditional methods and natural materials, including pebbles, driftwood, rice grains, and straws. Suai-A-Ka is operated by the Baolai Cultural Society of Kaohsiung City.

The goal is to achieve peaceful coexistence with nature in living, ecology, and production, and promote rebuilding, benefits, talent development, and industry developments in the local community. Industries it fosters include pottery, plant-based dyes, and stone oven-baked bread.

Visitors are encouraged to spend 3 hours here and to schedule appointments for a variety of DIY workshops, including pottery, dyes, stone oven bread baking, and stone oven pizza baking. Come and experience co-prosperity with nature.

When I visited, the master was working hard and focused on making bread. This time I bought a French-style walnut mango bread, which is made with the local specialty Jinhuang mango. It has the sweetness of mango and the slightly sour taste of yeast, which is very delicious; Roasted aroma, the more you chew, the more fragrant, friends who pass by here may wish to try it.

⏰20221213 visit 👣Travel by heart: Heard a recommendation from the internet and decided to give it a try. Originally planned to order a big stove meal, but was told that more than ten people need to make an appointment, and there is no light meal option. So I settled on some bread and specialty items, including a cinnamon bun. When I got home, I popped the cinnamon buns in the oven and the aroma was overwhelming. It was a pleasant tasting experience when the bread was baked in the oven. Although I didn't get to try the Dazao meal, the snack selection this time also gave me a delicious memory. If you also like bread and specialty products, you might as well give this store a try. If you think my comments are reasonable and in line with your experience, please click "Helpful" below ⬇️ Thank you very much
