    Xinwei Forest Park

Address:No. Xinwei 171, Xinwei Li, Liouguei Dist., Kaohsiung

Taking up roughly 290,000 square meters of land, this is the biggest garden in Taiwan. It is verdant in the spring and the summer, and there is a 2km-long avenue planted with tall mahogany trees. At the turn of the winter and the spring, the trees’ leaves turn red and yellow, and they fall to the ground, resulting in a poetic scene. The natural “hallway” feels so exotic that it becomes a popular dating place. It is also loved by brides and grooms who wish to take wedding photos.

The pavilion in the middle on the wooded path is ideal for appreciating Xinwei Bridge and purple crow butterflies and taking photos of them. It is not to be missed, too, if you wish to enjoy small chats with family and friends or sip a cup of coffee.
