    Wanshan Tribe

Originally located by Wantoulan Mountain at 1,475 meters above the sea level, Wanshan was once the most remote tribe in Maolin. Wanshan people moved to the present site in 1956, since the roads leading to the outside world were too dangerous. Today, the old site still retains many early stone-plate houses and the mysterious “Kopaca'e” stone carvings. Visitors are encouraged to appreciate the beautiful old houses and explore nearby tourist destinations such as the awe-inspiring Longtou Mountain, Shetou Mountain, and Duona High Suspension Bridge.
