    Suai-A-Ka Cultural Space

Located at Baolai Village in Liugui District, Kaohsiung, and next to South Cross-Island Highway, Suai-A-Ka Cultural Space derived its name from the Taiwanese phrase for “beneath a mango tree”. This cultural space is the fruitful result of local residents’ hard work transforming an abandoned warehouse with traditional methods and natural materials, including pebbles, driftwood, rice grains, and straws. Suai-A-Ka is operated by the Baolai Cultural Society of Kaohsiung City.

The goal is to achieve peaceful coexistence with nature in living, ecology, and production, and promote rebuilding, benefits, talent development, and industry developments in the local community. Industries it fosters include pottery, plant-based dyes, and stone oven-baked bread.

Visitors are encouraged to spend 3 hours here and to schedule appointments for a variety of DIY workshops, including pottery, dyes, stone oven bread baking, and stone oven pizza baking. Come and experience co-prosperity with nature.

A very unique earthen kiln fat, the bread is crispy on the outside and Q on the inside, it is delicious 👍👍 It is baked in a white kiln, which is labor-intensive and labor-intensive. Watching the master add longan wood to bake it, and watching it at the very hot and pm2.5 kiln, I really want to cheer. The children help to look after the store and introduce products, super cute 😂😂 The bread looks very attractive. Although the price is not cheap, it is worth it to see the chef working hard to bake the bread. Pizza is only divided into meat/vegetarian, the meat one is boar pork, and the vegetarian one is pumpkin. 9 inches 300 yuan a little expensive. The crust is baked like a biscuit, which is okay. Roselle juice is delicious👍👍👍 Recommendation: Bread and some homemade plum juice👍

The location is where the upper and lower bridges must pass. It is also a good parking place, but you should pay attention to the double yellow line. If you are not in the same direction, you should go to the zebra crossing and cross it. The local specialties, as well as the concentration of customs and customs, especially the large stove and kiln oven, the air is filled with a faint smell of wood burning. After two breads, I left. Although there are not many flavors, they are all acceptable to the public. Cheese, cranberry, and chocolate are reasonably priced. I bake a little at home, and they are crispy and delicious. If you can add local specialties to the bread Adding new items must also be hot-selling items, so be sure to play again next time! There are still many bottles and jars for re-fermentation, which is also very interesting!

The bread is delicious and the price is not expensive, but the location is rather embarrassing, just next to the traffic lights and the construction site, if you don’t pay attention, you will miss it directly. The walnuts in the bread seem to be free, and you can almost eat whole walnuts in every bite. It is also suggested that you can buy a box of Liugui native camellia to brew at home. Lazy brewing site also sells pre-brewed bottled tea, and also provides boiled water for re-rinsing.
