Nanheng Tianchi Lake

Located at approximately 135K of the South Cross-Island Highway, Tianchi Lake is a 2200 meter latitude lake behind Changqing (Evergreen) Temple. Approximately 2 meters in depth, its water never runs dry. It is also nicknamed "Heart Lake" due to its heart-shaped formation. It is also called the Lake of the Mountain due to its altitude. Constantly enclosed by clouds and mist, this sacred-looking lake in the sky is clear and green and reflects the greenery all around on its glassy surface.


Visitors are recommended to stay for 3 hours here, but those who enter must leave before 15:00 since some of the roads are still under access control.
