Fun activities
  • Walk along the forest trails and experience a space where Paiwan art and nature come together.
  • Head to the observation deck at dusk to enjoy views of the mountains and the distant Gaoping Area.
  • You can also visit nearby Timur Park to experience imagery from Paiwan culture.
Timur Forest Park is defined by the red sun-pattern stone wall at its entrance and its forested mountain scenery. Blending Paiwan cultural imagery with the surrounding woodland landscape, the park has become a public space that serves both recreational and cultural display functions.
A bronze sculpture inspired by Oradata, the Paiwan word for a shield, is one of the park's notable features. ▲ A bronze sculpture inspired by Oradata, the Paiwan word for a shield, is one of the park's notable features.

Level paths and gentle slopes connect throughout the park, accompanied by trees and lawns that make it suitable for a slow walk or a short stop. Some routes extend upward to areas with more open views. Following the main trail, visitors first pass the Chief's House and a bronze sculpture themed around Children of the Sun, then continue along a path encircling the forest to reach the stone-slab pavilion at the park's highest point. The wooded path is heavily shaded, and some sections include steps. As you approach the upper area, the view gradually opens up. Timur Forest Park and Timur Park are located in the same area and are within walking distance of each other. The art park features representative public artworks such as ancestral spirit pillars, the hundred-pacer snake totem plaza, and the Stage of Life. For a one-day itinerary, start with a walk in the forest park, then continue to Timur Park to experience the pulse of local culture, and finish with a visit to the craft workshops along the Sandimen Handicraft Trail, where you can pick up a souvenir with distinctive Indigenous character.
